Dr. Mark Marat Hay (Marat Hayrapetyan) was appointed today as Glendale City Commissioner of Arts & Culture until April 22, 2028, upon the recommendation of Glendale City Council members Vartan Gharpetian and Ardy Kassakhian and by consonous vote of the Glendale City Council.

Marat Hayrapetyan is a well-known and beloved singer, composer, symphonic conductor, musicologist, public and community activist, and has doctorate degrees in arts, in nutrition and naturopathy. He is a former advisor to the Minister of Culture of Armenia, and former advisor to the Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles.

Dr Mark Marat Hay is the Vice President of the California Naturopathic Association, as well as the founding director of The Guardian of Health clinic in Los Angeles.
